The opportunity

The Boeing MQ28 - Ghost Bat - is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.

We are seeking a skilled MQ-28 Tactical Datalink Test Technician to join our dynamic Analysis, Integration and Test team.

As a Tactical Datalink Test Technician, you will apply your tactical data link experience to support MQ-28 in achieving operational authority of their data links capability as a member of the Analysis Integration and Test team to enhance the MQ-28 platform.

The role is based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities

  • Support the conduct of test and evaluation activities, to achieve the required outcomes
  • Support development of the tactical data link (Link 16) requirements for the MQ-28
  • Analyse platform capability to derive tactical data link requirements
  • Develop technical documentation, including requirements specifications, plans, processes and procedures to support the ongoing development and improvement of test execution
  • Provide input to engineering teams on tactical data links considerations
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure correct implementation of tactical data link requirements

Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in tactical data links, especially Link 16
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyse test data
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience with software testing in a software environment is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Australian Defence Force platforms is highly regarded.
  • Experience with DOORS is desirable.
