Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Support Program Manager – Executive Transport (Level K) to join our National Airborne Operations (E-4B) team in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Support Program Manager will lead a team responsible for planning of depot maintenance activities, execution of an engineering services contract, and performance management of long-term aircraft programs. This candidate will also play a part in refining the business through proposal activities and new business efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees developing projects and program plans at all levels and across functional areas.
  • Executes in all project phases to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality, and constraints from initiation to post completion.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of strategic and tactical program approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees in alignment with Boeing values and behaviors.
  • Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Responsible to establish and maintain communications with internal (cross functional / cross business) personnel and external (customer / supplier) representatives concerning operations, scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts.
  • Manages team to perform proactive obsolescence management, forecast / coordinate fleet upgrades and maintenance activities, customer logistics support, training, service bulletin / airworthiness directive application, and proposal activity.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in team or project leadership
  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier/Contracts/Program Management practices and processes
  • 5+ years of experience managing risks, cost performance and schedule performance
  • 5+ years of experience in project management including interfacing with suppliers, partnerships, and customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience operating in highly regulated industries
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s)
  • PMP Certification

Travel:

Willing and able to travel 10-20% of the time.
