As a member of the P8 Wiring Integrated Product Team (IPT) you will be working in a highly dynamic team environment. You will have the opportunity to integrate with the full production value stream, from Engineering to Shop Floor, to successfully execute both post-production modification and well as standard production to the P8 aircraft.

This includes integrating the functional system requirements into an efficient logical and physical wire harness architecture throughout the airplane. The primary focus in this role will be implementing the wire bundle specifications that align to the systems performance and design requirements. Considering such requirements as proper materials and parts selection based on electrical and environmental properties, functional separation based on systems safety and failure analysis, and efficient build processes, all while ensuring that Safety and Quality are the number 1 priority.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs

  • Develops basic/complex statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets

  • Analyzes results and supports design reviews

  • Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests)

  • Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities

  • Supports the development of statements of work

  • Assists in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection

  • Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design

  • Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Travel as needed to support various test activities (less than 10%)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ or more years experience in aerospace systems or wiring

  • Willing to travel domestically as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
