This project specific opportunity offers a competitive salary employee benefits (including health insurance and time-off provisions) Highway or Airport construction experience highly desired. </p><p>Responsibilities include: </p> <ul><li>Performing daily construction inspection services including acting as a liaison between the Owner and contractor </li><li>Conducting hands-on inspections ensuring work is completed according to the plans and specifications </li><li>Notifying Owner of problems and deviations from plans and specifications </li><li>Tracking quantities for payment completing daily inspection reports creating and verifying punch-list work </li><li>Homeowner/tenant interaction and other associated responsibilities related to the construction process. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities </p><ul type="disc"> <li>Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word </li><li>Ability to work within various project management software. </li><li>Ability to maintain a daily job log and records </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>High degree of Interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>Desired Education and Experience </p><ul type="disc"> <li>Three to Five years of related experience in Highway or Airport construction or a Bachelor/Associates degree in Construction Management. </li><li>Inspection experience in the construction industry </li><li>Ability to read and interpret designs and specifications. </li><li>Experience using Appia </li></ul> <p>Additionally full-time permanent employment is a possibility for airport construction projects across the country if the candidate successfully completes work on this project and has the following: </p><p>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities </p> <ul><li>Ability to identify non-compliance items and proper procedures for correction. Effective organizational and computer skills including the use of MS Office products Bluebeam and e-Construction applications. </li><li>Ability to travel for short- and long-term assignments </li><li>Familiarity with and ability to interpret civil and/or vertical construction plans and specifications </li></ul> <p>Desired Education and Experience </p> <ul><li>Highway or Airport construction experience (horizontal projects) highly desired </li><li>Bachelors degree in related field </li><li>Concrete and asphalt pavement inspection experience </li><li>Vertical construction experience a positive </li><li>Underground drainage utilities and electrical experience </li></ul> <p><strong>Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits</strong> </p><p><strong>$40.00 - $55.00/hr</strong> </p><p><em>Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience geographical location and market conditions education/training certifications and other credentials as well as applicable knowledge and skills.</em> </p><p>Learn about our comprehensive Benefits </p><p><strong>WHO WE ARE:</strong> C&S Companies is a national planning design and construction firm with more than 600 employees and growing.
