Our client is a leading aerospace company committed to innovation safety and excellence in engineering. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced STPA Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you have a background in System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) and a passion for ensuring safety in aerospace systems we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Apply System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) methodology to analyze complex aerospace systems identifying potential hazards and risks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess system safety considering technical human and environmental factors.

Develop and implement safety strategies including hazard mitigations and risk reduction measures to enhance the safety of aerospace systems.

Conduct thorough analyses of system failures incident reports and safety-related data to inform safety assessments and improvements.

Experience in integrating STPA with SysML is great to have.

Stay current with industry standards regulations and best practices related to safety engineering and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering Systems Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience in applying System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) methodology to safety-critical systems preferably in the aerospace industry.

Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.

Familiarity with aerospace systems avionics and software development processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying potential hazards and risks.

Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide leadership in safety engineering efforts.
