Director - Avionics and Electrical Engineering

Cirrus Aircraft is seeking an experienced Director of Avionics and Electrical Engineering to lead a team of 70+ engineers specializing in avionics software electrical systems and Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS).

Base pay range

$168480.00/yr - $252720.00/yr

This leader will oversee the design development integration and installation of aircraft systems in compliance with FAA Part 23 regulations. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering the Director provides strategic vision technical oversight and leadership across avionics software and electrical disciplines—driving innovation quality and regulatory adherence. The role includes managing organizational strategy developing engineering standards guiding certification efforts and fostering collaboration across teams.

A bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering 12+ years of industry experience and 8+ years in engineering leadership are required.

Relocation to Duluth Minnesota is required and a comprehensive relocation package is provided.
