Job Summary:
Responsible for applying primer basecoat and clear coat to aircraft exterior surfaces. Application method can include cup gun pressure pot or pressure fed by a Graco P-Mix machine. Regulates paint sprayer width and pressure according to manufacturers technical process instructions. Mixes coating systems using catalyst accelerants and reducing solvents. Identifies repairs and troubleshoots paint defects. Maintains and cleans paint booth part holding fixtures and paint application equipment. Strictly adheres to personal protective equipment requirements. Follows MSDS technical data sheets and hazardous waste disposal procedures. Uses written planning documents and Process Specifications to ensure accurate paint application and exterior paint design.
Qualifications:
One year technical school in Auto Body/Paint or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
