We are looking for the best and brightest to fly and land with us!Role OverviewLead all areas of engineering processes work instructions quality requirements materials selection and regulatory requirementsHelp to develop and enforce standardized engineering practices processestoolsand methods across all value streamsManage projects and lead Continuous Improvement project management quality improvement efforts across all value streamsProvide exemplary professional representation to customers and OEM s to the FAA and to other regulatory agenciesDevelop engineers in key technology and skill sets which are critical for the group successLead implementation of automation solutionsLead the strategy for comprehensive data collection and analysis from all processes that will support robust process development and understanding of the Smart FactoryLead a team of engineers supporting the recruitmentdevelopmentand retention of engineering talent.Manage the resources and assignments across the manufacturing cellsIdentifyinvestigateand implement new technology to address business goalsWork with managers of other disciplines within the business to ensure the overall quality cost and delivery of servicesAssist in the preparation of general business plans manpower plans and engineering schedules in accordance with program expectationsBasic QualificationBachelor of Sciencein engineering manufacturing or technically related field is required.Bachelor s degree and 5 years of relevant experienceORAdvance degree and 3 years of relevant experienceORIn absence of a degree 9 years of relevant experience is requiredstrong leadership to a diverse group of engineering professionalsMust be a U.S. CitizenPreferred QualificationsSAP experience or ERP system knowledge strongly preferredMust have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and provideMaster s degree in engineering or a related field is preferredLeadership critical thinking business discernment innovation collaboration written and verbal communication presentation analytical thinking problem solving customer focus attention to detailPrior supervisor experience is desiredPrior experience in process engineering and/or aerospace is highly desirableA thorough knowledge of quality and process improvement tools such as Six Sigma AGILE SCRUM and/or LEANKnowledge and effective practice of Environmental Health and Safety requirementsCollins Aerospace a Raytheon Technologies company is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
