ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
+ Utilizes CHI’s payroll software system(UltiPro) to ensure the accurate and timely distribution of employees pay.
+ Processes payroll for assigned departments using established procedures.
+ Responsible for the full cycle processing and maintenance of assigned payroll groups.
+ Maintains employee payroll files.
+ Respond to employee questions and requests in a timely manner.
+ Maintain a high level of confidentiality in order to maintain employee confidence and protect sensitive payroll data.
+ Follows Federal State and Local legal requirements and company procedures to ensure compliance.
+ Keeps up to date on changes in rules and regulations and vendor upgrades.
+ Sets-up and processes payments for income withholding orders which includes child support and garnishments.
+ Provides payroll reports to Accounting and HR as requested.
+ Process terminations in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
+ Process payroll adjustments for missed time pay advances etc. as necessary.
+ Reviews processes and procedures for recommendations to increase effectiveness.
+ Maintain good working relationship with other departments to achieve payroll unit goals.
+ Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
+ Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ 3+ years’ experience processing multi-state payroll
+ Working knowledge of Payroll/HRIS systems UltiPro preferred
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including intermediate Excel skills
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
