Description
Build and maintain all support equipment for shop and field operations. Equipment may include but is not limited to: Lower hooks power packs fire buckets longlines and work stands. Use various fabrication tools in the construction of various metal and plastic projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Complete special fabrication projects as assigned.
+ Load and unload equipment.
+ Basic computer work (part lookup/order equipment update and blueprint reading)
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Maintains work areas and tools in a clean and organized manner practices proper tool and FOD control.
+ Performs work safely and utilizes the appropriate technical data for the assigned task.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.
+ 2+ years experience with basic fabrication tools.
+ General hand tools and toolbox required.
+ Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
+ Ability to read write and speak English proficiently
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
+ Proficient in GTAW (Tig) welding. Steel aluminum and stainless steel.
+ Proficient in GMAW (Mig) welding. Steel aluminum and stainless steel.
+ Skill in SMAW (Stick) welding beneficial but not required.
+ Proficient with all metal fabrication tools.
+ Skill in using a metal lathe beneficial but not required.
+ Proficient in reading blue prints and sketches.
+ Ability to communicate with customer and write down or sketch the information needed to complete job.
+ Fabricate parts without a drawing.
+ Knowledge of different types of materials.
+ Basic understanding of hydraulic pneumatic and electrical equipment.
