You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience required: To qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-09. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying aircraft quality assurance methods and practices to the manufacture maintenance and overhaul of aircraft structures; experience evaluating aviation process methods for conformance to quality standards; experience inspecting aviation systems products structures and components to ensure conformance with technical requirements. Education can be substituted for experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AerospaceAircraft MaintenanceMechanicalOral CommunicationQuality AssuranceRisk Assessment Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
