Aerospace Design Engineer - Brushed and Brushless Motors - Los Angeles area - Contract /Direct Our Client in the Los Angeles area is a leading provider of I nnovative Motion Control Motor and other Electro-Mechanical Actuation Devices for the aerospace industry. Due to expansion they are currently seeking a Aerospace Motor Design Engineer for a contract position that has the option to convert to a direct role with the company. JOB DESCRIPTION Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years experience experience with developing a product from concept to production the design development and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control /motor products such as electro-mechanical actuation devices for demanding aerospace applications Some experience with FEA desired. Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical sensors. Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with ISO Standards. Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings schematics and computer-generated reports. Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem solving and time management skills Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software Self-motivated and highly organized Proficient in 3D CAD Solidworks modeling and FE analysis Candidates may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
