Description, duties, responsibilities

The incumbent maintains technical competency on legal systems and obtains the skill to install integrate maintain and restore new technologically advanced systems without supervision. Serves as the key technical point of contact for assigned systems programs or projects. Collaborates with system users planners engineers and contractor personnel for the acceptance of new or modified systems and provides assistance for resolving problems with the installation or improvements. Applies experience and detailed technical knowledge in planning managing and completing assignments in support of the NAS. Has broad automated systems and networking responsibility providing "end to end" services to Air Traffic customers. Initiates actions to install repair or restore systems and services on the availability of backup systems reconfiguration to minimize service interruptions and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the NAS. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCETo qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of FV-G/Level II or the equivalent of an FG/GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in the FV-2101 occupation or in a related occupation which equips the applicant with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. The specialized experience required should demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the technology system interrelationships and management of civilian or military automated aviation navigation and electronics systems.Candidates must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility appropriate to the position. Generally experience at the next lower level of G/level II or equivalent meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience provides the demonstrated abilities identified in this announcement.Demonstrated Abilities: Narratives for Demonstrated Abilities identified under qualifications are mandatory.
