Our industry focus includes aerospace and defence healthcare telecommunications rail transportation semiconductor geospatial industrial and energy.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and experienced machinist to join our dynamic team of professionals in an Aerospace tooling and gage manufacturing facility in New Britain CT. The Tool Maker will be a critical part of our team responsible for ensuring quality in the tooling making within the Aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in Tooling and Gage fabrication production or manufacturing specifically within the Aerospace and Defense industry.RESPONSIBILITIESFabricate fixtures gages and tooling using aerospace specificationsUtilize blueprints sketches and verbal instructions to fabricate or repair tooling gages and machinery on the assembly floorSupport the production team in a timely mannerAssure safe operation and care of tool room equipmentEnsure quality standards are being met per customer requirementsAssess complex tooling and equipment needs and refurbish as requiredTroubleshoot and resolve tooling problems without assistanceSet up and operate all tool room equipment independentlyStrive to continuously improve tooling and reduce manufacturing errors or scrapsCleaning up the work station as needed to maintain cleanly and organized work stationsMust be willing to share knowledge of the trade train apprentices and instruct other machinists to perform tasks on larger jobsBe able to work in a fast pace environment andBe willing to work 45+ hours a week when workload requiresQUALIFICATIONSMachinist with the ability to plan and run jobsExperience in a job shop environment preferredMust have a minimum of 5 years experience with tool making specifically in Aerospace industryMust have familiarity with CNC processingAbility to hold tolerances as close as +/- .0002Strong understanding of GDP blueprint reading and GD symbolsExperience in Aerospace Tooling including:JigsFixturesGround support equipmentCOMPENSATION and BENEFITS:Competitive pay rate based off market rates and candidate experienceComprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision packagesHealth Savings Account with employer matchAdditional health and wellness discount programsStudent loan refinancingEducation and Training reimbursement401K with employer match10 paid Holidays and 10 days PTOCompany paid life insurance disability insurance and Employee assistance ProgramCompany sponsored eventsEmployee discounts on hotels airfare concerts sports events restaurants and more!Skills and ExperienceBlueprint Reading Blueprints GD Tool MakingCyient is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Cyient recruits employs trains compensates and promotes regardless of race color ancestry religion sex national origin sexual orientation age citizenship marital status disability gender gender identity or expression veteran status and other protected status as required by applicable law.
