• Director I Missile Systems: Business Development
•Position Summary
• The Business Development Director will be responsible for all aspects of Business Development as related to Domestic and International Missile systems for military and non-military applications. The individual will work as a leader and contributor to the respective business portfolios. Thorough knowledge and understanding of DoD acquisitions requirements and customer organizational construct as well as direct related experience with Missile components and platform integration are critical. Direct related experience in a Missiles environment as an operator and or engineer is strongly desired.
•Duties and Responsibilities
••Strategy:
•• Plan modify implement and oversee market and product strategies for the market space for near and mid-term business objectives
• Exhibit intuitive marketing ability while possessing a strong entrepreneurial spirit for developing new and discriminate capabilities for the business
• Identify qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with domestic and international military and or industry partners.
• Leverage internal and external relationships to develop targeted sales strategies that convey a pragmatic approach to all business pursuits.
• Perform competitive market analysis. Monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs while promoting opportunities for strategic teaming and/or market dominance.
• Proactively plan for and successfully engage prospective new and existing customers on a regular basis to foster and promote business growth and success
• Formulate investment requirements strategies and budgets to accurately support NPV/ROI analysis on new market/business pursuits.
•Execution:

•People and Collaboration:
•• Work directly with a team of professional marketing and business development personnel to promote personnel development goal alignment to bookings increased business opportunity identification and efficiency of execution at the business unit level and in support of Group monthly quarterly and annual plan.
• Mentor develop and train other members of the business development team to the standards and performance levels expected of the position
• Develop new talent and individuals inside and outside the business development team to ensure understanding and knowledge of the customer product and technologies as may be used in an operational or market environment
• Work closely with other departments and/or functions (e.g. Program Management Engineering Manufacturing etc.) to coordinate customer activities and market strategies
• Conduct cross group new business reviews and capture reviews to include process defined gating for approvals and information required to present a business case for approval
• Be capable to lead organize and set goals for cross company working groups to collaboratively develop strong discriminate positions bringing together normally segregated technologies ideas and/or customers to grow business increase Pwin and or develop new market opportunities for the business unit or company.
•Minimum Job Requirements:
•• 15+ years - Bachelor’s degree in business marketing engineering or related discipline - Technical Degree and background is strongly desired
• Prior Missile development experience is required
• Knowledge and understanding of aircraft protection (missile warning/IRCM radar and laser warning systems)
• Knowledge and understanding of the EO/IR technologies and systems for military platform applications
• Understanding of US and international Contracting and budgeting processes
• Understanding of the Requirements development and acquisition processes
• Strong interpersonal verbal written and presentation skills
• Excellent planning and organization project management and time management skills
• Ability to work independently on extremely complex problems
• Advanced knowledge of C4ISR products markets technology consumers and competitors
