Job Title: Chief Pilot (CP)

Location: Atoka, OK

Job Description:

Drone Express is looking for an experienced Chief Pilot (CP) to manage all activities of the pilot team. Candidates must ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including federal aviation regulations Part 135. They are aligned with the Director of Aviation and the Director of Maintenance.

About the Company: Drone Express is a fast-growing last-mile logistics company that uses airborne autonomous drones for local package delivery. Drone delivery provides low-cost same-day delivery for retailers nationwide that is contact-less, safe and eco- friendly. Drone Express is currently receiving a Type Certificate for its aircraft and is also pursuing its Part 135 Operating Certificate. As a member of the FAA BEYOND program, Drone Express is working to safely integrate drones into the National Airspace System. Additionally, Drone Express has partnered with several large nationwide retailers including The Kroger Company and Papa Johns. Drone Express is a division of the telecommunication company TELEGRID.

Chief Pilot (CP) Responsibilities:

· Ensure operational compliance with all flight operations part 135 requirement.

· Leadership role which is responsible for managing all activities of the pilot team.

· Development of the pilot team including training, hiring, scheduling, and aircraft operating standard.

· Expert in flight operations with the ability to lead and motivate the team.

· Prepare and maintain all pilot training, flight and duty, performance records and other records as require.

Chief Pilot (CP) Requirements:

· In the case of a person becoming a Chief Pilot for the first time ever, have at least 3 years experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 121 or part 135 of this chapter.

· In the case of a person with previous experience as a Chief Pilot, have at least 3 years experience as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 121 or part 135 of this chapter.

· Instrument rating.

· Commercial rating.

· Second class medical.

· Knowledge of FAA Regulations including flight operations under part 135

· Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and industry best practices Preferred Skills and Experience
