Scheduler of FBO Services (Req ID 2021-651) Customer Service Battle Creek Michigan Apply The Scheduler of FBO (Fixed-base Operator) Services leads the day-to-day FBO Services Hangar Coordinator team members and activities for Duncan Aviation. The Scheduler of FBO Services coordinates with sales and production teams to schedule aircraft services that maximizes utilization of facilities resources and capabilities by evaluating facility resource and requirements and assigning hangar resources. In addition this position plans leads and coordinates effective and efficient aircraft movements and hangar stacks and makes recommendations to the Operations Planning Coordinator. The Scheduler of FBO Services also assists project managers and/or customers by responding to their requests or inquiries regarding customers projects. This position presents a professional image through positive attitude appearance speech and manners and displays leadership by modeling of these behaviors. Essential Job Functions Works with sales representatives and department schedulers to provide pertinent information and evaluate facility space and resource availability for potential aircraft project opportunities and non-scheduled work. Obtains requests for schedule reviews facility space requirements and makes timely recommendations to the Operations Planning Coordinator. Opens work orders as necessary. Prepares tentative macro flows for projects which are in the sales process. Distributes Project Events for macro project flow and provides information to support aircraft and hangar tracking and scheduling. Monitors documents and adjusts hangar availability based on the status of in-house pre-arrivals and pending projects. Leads the activities of the FBO Services Hangar Coordinators to ensure the efficient use of resources. Represents the Operations Planning team at various production meetings. Mediates internal scheduling conflicts communicates customer and project requirements with the appropriate team members and makes recommendations to department schedulers and sales representatives. Plans and coordinates aircraft movement and hangar stacks with movement teams to minimize aircraft movement and maximize space and resources. Plans all aircraft movement through Microsoft Visio for turnovers to the Line Department and keeps them updated throughout the day. Promotes growth and development of assigned team members to promote team cohesiveness and trust by assisting with hiring monitoring and evaluating team members performance in a professional positive accurate and timely manner. Identifies and recommends training opportunities for team members to the department manager. Participates in personal leadership development opportunities and demonstrates leadership and professionalism at all times. Assumes all duties of Operations Planning Coordinator in their absence with receiving service plan information and coordinating production planning process with department schedulers. Ensures accuracy and completeness of project team assignments and events for project team. Provides scheduling and project related reports to appropriate team members as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by department and Duncan Aviation management. Job Specific Requirements Licenses/Certificate: Valid drivers license and acceptable driving records Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required; occasional travel required Physical: Reads small print; tolerates standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling climbing and sitting Environmental: Tolerates working in a noisy i.e. production environment Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent required Minimum of three years experience as a Scheduler (Facilities Production Maintenance Project Management) involved in daily and weekly planning and forecasting is required Previous experience leading and managing direct reports is required Previous experience using AS400 or other similar program (ERP MRP SAP) for scheduling is required Proficiency with Microsoft Software (i.e. Word Excel Project etc.) required Previous experience in the aviation industry hangar management or aircraft movement is preferred Duncan Aviation is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
