Purpose of this role:

The HR Manager for China is both strategic and operationally responsible for leading human resources activities across the China region. This individual will manage HR operations support organizational goals ensure compliance with local regulations and drive employee engagement. The HR Manager will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders fostering a diverse and inclusive culture aligned with the companys global strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

HR Strategy Leadership

- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with global business objectives and tailored to the China region.

- Act as a strategic partner to local leadership providing insights on talent management workforce planning and organizational development.

- Ensure consistency in HR policies and practices while adapting to Chinese labor laws and cultural norms.

- Lead HR change management initiatives related to organizational development and transformation.

Employee Relations Compliance

- Ensure compliance with Chinese labor laws and employment regulations

- Address and resolve complex employee relations cases including grievances disputes and disciplinary actions.

- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that align with global HR frameworks while respecting local requirements.

Talent Acquisition Workforce Planning

- Drive talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent in China.

- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure effective workforce planning aligned with business needs.

- Focus on local employer branding strategies to enhance talent attraction.

Performance Management Leadership Development and Training

- Oversee performance management systems ensuring consistent feedback and career development.

- Implement leadership development programs and initiatives to upskill local leaders and high-potential employees.

- Support succession planning efforts by identifying and nurturing future leaders.

- Identify skills gaps and create development plans to address training and learning needs.

Compensation Benefits HR Operations

- Work with the corporate Total Rewards team to ensure competitive compensation and benefits structures aligned with local market trends.

- Monitor and manage HR budgets ensuring cost-effective operations

- Optimize HR processes and systems to improve efficiency and employee experience.

- Manage payroll operations and ensure timely accurate pay for all employees.

Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI)

- Champion DEI initiatives that foster an inclusive and diverse workplace in China.

- Implement programs to address cultural differences gender equity and diverse talent pipelines.

HR Technology Analytics

- Leverage HR data and analytics to provide insights on workforce trends engagement and retention.
- Drive the adoption of HR technology platforms for recruitment performance management and employee engagement.

Employee Engagement Well-being

- Develop employee engagement strategies to enhance morale productivity and retention.

- Implement well-being programs to address mental health work-life balance and overall employee satisfaction.

- Coordinate annual climate surveys and follow-up action plans.

Office Administration

- Supervise office administrative operations to ensure a smooth and efficient working environment.

- Oversee travel management systems visa application processes office maintenance and third-party service quality.

- Provide support for external events as needed.

Requirements:


Education: Bachelors degree or above in Human Resources Law Management or other relevant areas.

Experience: 10+ years in HR with at least 3 years in a leadership role within multinational companies.

Language: Fluent in English and Mandarin both written and spoken.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of HR modules and China labor law. including but not limited to compensation and benefits labor negotiation payroll process and compliance mobility procedures (national and international) talent acquisition training succession planning culture and other

- Strategic thinking and hands-on experience in talent acquisition.

- Excellent communication negotiation and influencing skills.

- Familiarity with HR workflows in multinational corporations.

- Strong sense of ethics professionalism and team spirit.

- Ability to embrace diversity and change.
