Job Summary: The Assistant Chief Pilot Turbine Aircraft reports to the Chief Pilot and is directly responsible to the Director of Operations and is responsible to assist the Chief Pilot in the surveillance of the flight crew records flight time limitations and qualifications of all aircraft flight crew as set forth by the FAA to meet applicable legal requirements and maintain safe operations (14 CFR Part 119.65(d)(3)). The Assistant Chief Pilot Turbine Aircraft may be assigned to perform all duties of the Chief Pilot; however the Chief Pilot retains the responsibility. Essential Functions: 1. Will be qualified through training experience and expertise (14 CFR Part 119.65(d)) and will meet the qualification standards contained in 14 CFR Part 119.67(b). 2. Will have a full understanding of the following materials: Aviation safety standards and safe operating practices 14 CFR Chapter 1 company Operations Specifications all appropriate maintenance and airworthiness standards and content of company manuals (14 CFR Part 119.65(d)(1)(2)). 3. Assists the Chief Pilot to maintain a current master record section pertaining to all turbine crewmembers aircraft and flights conducted by the company. 4. Prepares and submits manuals for revision as directed. 5. Keeps the Director of Operations informed on a daily basis on matters of importance. 6. Assists with the formulation of company policies 7. May delegate verbally or in writing responsible persons to act for him/her when authorized by the Director of Operations this however does not lessen their overall responsibility. 8. Keep current and qualified in all respects in one type of company aircraft in accordance with the requirements and standards of a regular line captain and be flight checked in accordance with FAA requirements. 9. Available and serves on a full-time basis unless restricted by the rest requirements of 14 CFR 121. 10. Assists the Chief Pilot in establishing maintaining and conducting crewmember standardization and training to ensure safety and proficiency. 11. Will review Proficiency and Competency Check ride forms for Unsatisfactory (U) and trained to satisfactory (S) performance by the airman and develops remedial training plans for approval by the Chief Pilot. 12. Assists the Chief Pilot in the procurement assignment and scheduling of all flight crewmembers. 13. Assists the Chief Pilot to ensure that no person is assigned or maintained as an active crewmember unless that person meets the requirements and currency of 14 CFR Part 121. 14. Assists the Chief Pilot to ensure that proper certification to this effect is included in each crewmember s record prior to assignment. 15. Acts as a check airman and personally conducts qualification proficiency instrument and other check flight required by the FAA or company. 16. Keeps constantly informed by daily surveillance of a master flight crew status board of the currency of each turbine aircraft crewmember and the upcoming due date of flight checks physicals and ground training and advise the Chief Pilot regarding options to resolve the approaching illegalities. 17. Responsible for the recommendation of turbine aircraft flight personnel for upgrading. 18. Responsible for functional check flights of aircraft when required. 19. Build an organizational culture in which passion for continuous improvement is innate. 20. Ensure adherence to procedures that promote the health and welfare of all employees. 21. Promote the mission vision and values that the Company has developed and ensure adherence to the Everts leadership manual and employee handbook. 22. Any other duties as required by the Everts Air Emergency Response Manual.
