FEAM Aircraft Maintenance/Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Cargo Representative Agent to join our team in Alaska, US. We pride ourselves on consistently exceeding our customers’ expectations and creating lifelong relationships with our clientele.
JOB TYPE: Full- Time/Part-Time
JOB SUMMARY: The Cargo Representative Agent is responsible for expediting and routing the movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments. He / She will take orders from customers and arrange pickup of freight and cargo for delivery to loading platform. Prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping charges and tariffs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs Customer Contracted Services at the aircraft to include but not limited to preparation and distribution of flight plan data to crew as prescribed by carrier, weight and balance, load planning and any additional coordination for services as requested by the carrier
Loading and Unloading of Aircraft Cargo
Performs Screening and Security duties at the aircraft as required
Complete Customer Forms and Reports and distributes as necessary
Assists operations agents as requested following proper work procedures and practices
Ensures that comopany equipment from their department is kept and maintained in functioning order, is stored, maintained, and ready for use always
Trains with and operates all associated equipment required for operations handling.
Estimate freight or postal rates and record shipments costs and weights.
Calculate shipping costs
Keep records of all goods shipped, received, and stored.
Enter shipping information into a computer by hand or a hand-held scanner that reads bar code on goods
Check import or export documentation to determine cargo contents and use tariff coding system to classify goods according to fee or tariff group
Prepare manifests showing numbers of airplane passengers and baggage, mail, and freight weights, transmitting data to destinations
Negotiate and arrange transport of goods with shipping or freight companies
Advise clients on transportation and payment methods
Track delivery progress of shipments
Notify consignees, passengers, or customers of freight or baggage arrival and arrange for delivery
Install straps, braces, and padding to loads to prevent shifting or damage during shipment
Assemble containers and crates used to transport items
Arrange insurance coverage for goods
Direct or participate in cargo loading to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight
Determine method of shipment and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents
Coordinate and supervise activities or workers engaged in packing and shipping
Route received goods to first available flight or to appropriate storage areas
Retrieve stored items and lost shipments as necessary
Inspect and count items received and check them against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of fundamental aircraft maintenance reliability, policies, and procedures; airworthiness directives; federal airline regulations (FARs), FAA policies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as with external agencies (e.g., airline customers). Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software (primarily Microsoft Excel). Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Bilingual Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Japanese.
REQUIREMENT: Must have a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License. High School Diploma required.

- Experience within aviation maintenance reliability or related field preferred.
- Weight and Balance experience 747-400F, 747-8F & 777F
- Loadmaster 747-400F, 747-8F & 777F
- IATA CAT 10 Certified
