The Instructional Designer ACS will work closely with the Senior Manager and Supervisor Customer Service Training to ensure training material is created following adult learning methodologies and using applicable technologies and will be responsible for the operational performance of the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure a consistent and stable learning environment.Essential Functions Develop design and implement learning activities and course content to enhance retention and transfer of knowledge Partner with subject matter experts to conduct training needs assessments and formulate and implement recommendations for learning solutions to ensure target training end results are achieved Evaluate program/course quality and effectiveness through learner satisfaction surveys and other appropriate methods and recommend and implement changes as required Prepare instructional graphics user interface and finished products to ensure accurate timely and effective training material is available for facilitation Apply instructional design theories practices and methods to ensure effective adult learning practices Provide exercises and activities to instructors that enhance the learning process Create and deliver supporting material/media (audio video simulations role plays games) to instructors to facilitate effective adult learning Maintain project documentation and course folders to ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner and accurate and detailed records are maintained Facilitate build out loading of course content and troubleshooting of all training material in the LMS and partner with other departments to implement and monitor learning.Other Functions Analyze post-assessment results to identify and address learning gaps Support Airport Customer Service initiatives as needed Support operational and system performance of the Learning Management System May assist in facilitating training as neededQualifications Bachelors degree in Adult Education and/or Instructional Design or equivalent education and experience required; Masters degree preferred 3 to 5 years experience in instructional design and instructional technology required Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge required Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one year managing a Learning Management System required Prior airline experience preferredKnowledge Skills and Abilities Strong oral written and presentation communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Products Competency and comprehensive knowledge of Articulate (Storyline) SCORM Publishing and Adobe Acrobat Ability to proofread attention to detail and prioritize assignments Lesson and curriculum planning skills Visual design skills (Dreamweaver Photoshop Illustrator) and ability to storyboard Ability to write effective copy instructional text audio scripts/video scripts Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models Organizational and time management skills Detailed oriented with a passion for continued process improvements Dedicated approach and thorough understanding of adult learning Familiar with the regulatory compliance requirementsDisclaimer: The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature and level of work required of the referenced position; they are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities duties and skills required of individuals in this position.
