<p>Ramp Agent OpportunityGAT Airline Ground Support is seeking dynamic capable and dependable individuals to join our team of aviation professionals. This position requires no prior experience offering an excellent opportunity to begin your career in the aviation industry.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive pay starting at 16.00 per hourFlight benefitsCompany-provided uniformsDaily pay optionsPaid trainingPaid time off (PTO)401(k) matchingOpportunities for career advancement into leadership roles and other positions within the companyPosition Overview:As a ramp agent you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of customer baggage operating ground service equipment and coordinating the servicing of arriving and departing aircraft. You will also prepare aircraft cabins for departure assist with ramp services (including waste disposal and re-servicing of aircraft) and assist customers as needed. This position may require you to work with multiple carriers and fulfill various duties as assigned. Ramp agents must be comfortable interacting with customers and proficient in using computers. The role requires the ability to work under stress meet rigid time constraints and work outdoors in various weather and noise conditions.Key Responsibilities:Safely lift load unload and transport baggage mail and cargo from the aircraft to the airportGuide aircraft to and from gate positions to maintain on-time connectionsProtect baggage and other equipment from damage loss and adverse weather conditionsOperate ground equipment such as tugs cargo carts service trucks and belt loadersEnsure ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flightsPrepare the cabin for customer boarding including cleaning seats seat pockets floors galleys and lavatoriesAssist with record-keeping and documentation to ensure accurate routing of baggageAdhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe working conditions for yourself and othersCommunicate effectively with managers and lead agents to manage daily schedulesReport equipment issues and breakdowns to facilitate quick repairsWork with multiple carriers as needed and perform other duties as assignedRequirements:Must be at least 18 years of ageAble to work in extreme conditions (e.g. hot and cold weather) and small spacesMust have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)Must be able to read speak and understand the English language fluently.Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping and baggage routingPossession of a valid drivers license with a good driving recordStrong teamwork collaboration and communication skillsFlexibility to work nights weekends and holidaysAbility to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectivelyMust pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check as mandated by federal law.Must successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug test.Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:GAT Airline Ground Support is an equal opportunity employer that makes hiring decisions based on business needs and the best-qualified candidates available.
