<br><b>Role Summary:</b><br>As a member of the Quality Department the NDT Level III serves as the primary point of contact with operations engineering and our customers for the X-Ray NDT functional area. We are seeking a highly motivated hands-on leader to provide leadership to our X-Ray NDT department in our advanced aerospace facility located in Rutland Vermont.<br><br><b>Essential Responsibilities:</b><br><br><ul><li>Train and oversee the certification of site Level Is and Level IIs in the respective NDT area and recertify them as required </li><li>Maintain all necessary training and certification documentation </li><li>Establish NDT techniques standards and specificiations and prepare written procedures </li><li>Assist manufacturing engineering and quality with continuous improvement and cost reduction activities as they relate to the respective NDT area </li><li>Conduct periodic systems audits as required by the internal quality requirement </li><li>Execute and document process control checks </li><li>Inspect production parts<br>Interact with Level II inspectors regarding production disposition </li><li>Provide input on NDT Technician performance reviews </li><li>Communicate with Engineering regarding production problems </li><li>Review rework and scrap parts<br>Interact with customers and engineering personnel to review existing develop new or improved processes as required </li><li>Lead facility audits (ISO internal) </li><li>Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals<br></li></ul><br><br><b>Qualifications/Requirements:</b><br><ul><li>Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in digital X-ray) </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in NDT Digital Radiography Level II<br></li></ul><br><br><b>Desired Characteristics:</b><br><ul><li>Previous experience / certification in UT / PT desired </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills </li><li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills </li><li>Has the experience or expertise to solve problems </li><li>Ability to develop and execute objectives for self and others </li><li>Ability to influence others and lead small teams </li><li>Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact </li><li>Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously </li><li>Effective problem identification and solution skills </li><li>Proven analytical and organizational ability </li><li>Previous supervisory experience </li><li>Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations </li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers auditors and customers </li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form<br></li></ul><br><br>#LI-JF1<br><br>#LI-JF1<br><br><b>About Us:</b><br>At GE Aviation we are imagination at work.
