Job Description SummaryProvide advice and leadership on employee and labor/union relations. Partner with leadership teams on legal/labor laws contract issues and risk management. Develop in-depth understanding of labor contracts and key business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish goals and create strong business relationships with all employees and leaders.Job DescriptionThe Labor Relations/Union Relations Manager will build client support skills by guiding people leaders and employees (hourly and salaried) for GE Aviations unionized manufacturing facility in Madisonville KY. "Walk the floor" being available for employee and manager needs Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees on all labor relations issues and educate employees on contract Partner with the site HR Leader to execute site-specific HR/Union Relations strategies and drive cultural initiatives and transformation Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified reported investigated and resolved Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of contract terms policies performance management/discipline procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment Ensure supervisors and leaders understand and follow labor contracts through various trainings Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny judgment and care Build strong relationships with union leadership and employeesRequired Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in HR and Labor Relations) 4+ years experience in various HR roles to include supporting unionized employeesDesired Characteristics Passionate employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping employees succeed and enjoys employee facing work Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels with a strong customer service focus Humble: respectful receptive agile eager to learn Transparent: shares critical information speaks with candor contributes constructively Focused: quick learner strategically prioritizes work committed Leadership ability: strong communicator decision-maker collaborative Problem solver: analytical-minded challenges existing processes critical thinkerGE offers a great work environment professional development challenging careers and competitive compensation.
