We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a startup company focused on cutting edge technology development in the aerospace and defense industry. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who has proven success securing contracts with government agencies and has a mix of technical expertise and business acumen.Aerospace and Defense Business Development Unit Manager Responsibilities:Conduct full range of business development activities by hunting for prospects and establishing relationships with them.Identify potential customers needs and work with the engineering team to provide solutions.Educate prospects on the companys capabilities and present products and services offers to customers and sponsors. Participate in all client site visits.Oversee the proposal process by packaging all project components and assisting in presenting them to the customersBe part of the project team and assist in developing plans defining roles and responsibilities the scope of work and ongoing communication with all stakeholders.Aerospace and Defense Business Development Unit Manager Requirements:Bachelor s Degree in business science or related discipline.10+ years of experience in Aerospace and Defense business development.Must have experience securing contracts in relevant industries.Active network in aerospace and defense industry and/or Government agenciesStrong hunter/sale mentality: Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomesStrong analytical problem-solving and negotiation skillExcellent oral and written communication skills Willingness to travel when needed (when the conditions of the pandemic allow)Aerospace and Defense Business Development Unit Manager BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience Health/Dental/Vision coverageBe on the ground floor of building a new division/company
