Our services are focused on creating more resilient/sustainable jurisdictions developing whole community operational plans supporting recovery eligibility after disasters and obtaining billion-dollar federal loans and grants.We are looking for an immediate hire at the Managing Associate level to serve as part of Hagerty Consultings Preparedness Division. Candidates must be flexible regarding travel needs related to project work.Responsibilities Include:The candidate will participate in and/or coordinate project initiatives for federal state local tribal and/or private sector clients related to emergency management and homeland security. Work may include but is not limited to: capabilities assessments emergency operations and/or contingency plans documents manuals policies procedures training exercises and project coordination.The candidate will specifically support air transit projects in support of clients nationwide.The ideal candidate must have the ability to be calm and poised under pressure be able to work successfully on multiple projects simultaneously and remain focused when working under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate should have an interest in the emergency management field and direct experience working in the air transit industry. The ideal candidate should also possess knowledge of and/or experience with the following: Working with partners within and related to the air transit industry. Developing outstanding written and verbal communications to include technical reports meeting materials (e.g. agendas meeting notes PowerPoint presentations) and training/exercise documents. Participating in and/or coordinating a project team. Providing excellent customer service. Interpreting and applying guidance to client deliverables. Reviewing and providing quality control/quality assurance of all materials.Basic Qualifications: 3-5+ years of experience in air transit (preferably working directly for an airport or airline) Or experience in Infrastructure (Energy Utilities cyber) 5-7+ years of experience in emergency management (or a combination of relevant experience and education). Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to produce technically and programmatically sound deliverables (the provision of a writing sample is a pre-requisite). Must have high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (including Word PowerPoint and Excel) to self-produce materials. Bachelors degree requiredAdditional Qualifications: Knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) the Incident Command System (ICS) the National Response Framework (NRF) National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF) and other preparedness guidance documents and policies.
