The successful candidate will be responsible for finding compliance to FAA regulations by following RTCA DO-254 and Honeywell Procedures in support of Honeywell Engines APU and Avionics product development projects.Responsibilities for this Certification Specialist role includes performing compliance reviews reviewing certification documents and data for compliance tracking certification issues and findings to closure and working with various customers development project teams and external Certification Authorities to resolve certification issues.The ideal candidate has a commitment to aviation safety technical and professional excellence a commitment to customer satisfaction demonstrated bias for action attention to detail ability to follow through to completion is comfortable in a leadership and decision making role is dedicated to continual process improvement demonstrates personal and professional integrity has strong oral and written communication skills is able to work across functional boundaries at multiple levels and has established strong working relationships with the FAA and international regulatory agencies. Up to 10% travel required for this role.YOU MUST HAVE+ Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or Computer Engineering+ 10 years of experience in the development and certification of aerospace products in accordance with FAA rules orders and guidelines+ 3 years of hands on knowledge and practical experience in the application of RTCA DO-254 and its objectivesWE VALUE+ FAA Unit Member Electronics Repair experience+ Technical leadership experience+ Ability to manage schedules and metrics+ A proven ability for fostering excellent customer/certification agency relationships+ Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and productivity gains through use of collaborative team methods+ Demonstrated communication skills with both internal and external customers as well Sr. LeadershipHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
