Description, duties, responsibilities
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Quality Engineer include but are not limited to the tasks listed below:
Performs final inspection for quality appearance and performance of complicated equipment instruments or products or of diversified parts and assemblies under management guidelines.
Works with internal inspectors and operations personnel to ensure product manufactured meet customer requirements
Works with inspection personnel in the creation and completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
Training of personnel for compliance with AS9100 and AS9102 and other customer requirements as needed
Assist operations personnel in the review and implementation of customer contracts and purchase orders
Will include internal and external auditing and qualifying vendors at vendor s location.
Plans inspection procedures and may be required to devise unusual measuring or gauging set-ups.
Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments including electronic devises.
May use statistical tools to chart variance.
Work may be highly diversified.
Other duties as assigned by Management
4+ years of work experience or equivalent.
Able to interpret Aerospace blueprints.
MRB experience with machined and formed parts.
Team-player who can handle working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Quality oriented with a hands-on do it right the first time personality.
Interpretation of GD&T Blueprint reading requirement
High School Diploma or GED
Course work in Metrics or equivalent experience
Able to read write understand and speak English fluently.
