The Waxhaw Aviation Safety Manager is to guide the Waxhaw aviation department to proactively and reactively improve aviation safety and to comply with OSHA and environmental regulations. </p><p><strong>Position Responsibilites</strong> </p><ul> <li>Lead in the documentation and maintenance of the JAARS Safety Management System emergency preparedness and emergency response system </li><li>Promote a strong safety culture and sound safety reporting policies </li><li>Collaborate with the Director of Aviation and key stakeholders regarding safety policies procedures and manuals </li><li>Promote Hazard Identification risk assessment and appropriate risk mitigations </li><li>Monitor and track compliance to government regulation and internal standards provide oversight for or conduct the internal safety audits as required by the Safety Management System manual </li><li>Identify and address aviation and OSHA safety training needs to assure the high safety competence of all staff members </li></ul> <p><strong>Position Requirements</strong> </p><ul> <li>A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth </li><li>Embraces the vision mission and core values of JAARS </li><li>Aviation background essential </li><li>Management experience preferred </li><li>OSHA experience preferred </li><li>Experience or training in Safety Management Systems preferred </li><li>An investigative mindset </li><li>Clear communicator </li><li>Able to relate well to others </li></ul> <p>Watch our video to learn more: Whatever It Takes: The First 75 Years (Abridged)</p>
