The FAA/EASA Chief Inspector must be / or be capable of becoming an FAA Certificated Repairman. The position is responsible for completing incoming evaluation and analysis He or she oversees/performs complex FAA EASA and Military: inspections and issues airworthiness certification for return to service of: LVDT RVDT FORCE TRANSDUCERS and COCKPIT CONTROLS per FAA EASA DOD approved data and instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities: :Using prescribed equipment approved technical data JDE CASE Management:Perform complex inspection of LVDT RVDT FORCE TRANSDUCERS and COCKPIT CONTROLS using both physical inspections and documentation approved tooling and data including Airline Maintenance Manuals to ensure articles conform to specifications and meet all regulatory airworthiness requirements.Perform and document WIP inspections and verify work performed to accomplish airworthy repairs.Coordinate with the FAA Repair Station Lead/Supervisor and Process Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve problems in repair process.Oversee and inspect for conformance any work performed by qualified non-certificated personnel to determine and ensure airworthiness.Communicate all necessary improvements to achieve the most efficient process to produce a successful repair with zero defects and minimal cost utilizing only approved data and processes.Perform Final Inspection duties for Repair Station including issue 8130-3 for return to service C of C and shipping documents (packing slip).Successfully complete ODA unit member training and act as a back-up member to OEM Personnel.Research and adhere to the requirements of Part 121 125 129 and 135 Air Carrier Maintenance Manuals.Report all documentation discrepancies to the FAA Repair Station Lead/Supervisor or Process Engineer.Participate in technical discussions and problem-solving teams.Must adhere to all the company safety requirements.Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds or more for approximately 20 yards.Must train to proficiency in all FAARS Repairman Syllabus Training Courses.Must successfully complete training to demonstrate knowledge of applicable Aviation Regulations and FAA Orders (CFR:145 121 125 129 135 43 65.)Must be willing to submit to FAA approved initial and random Drug and Alcohol testing.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years testing/inspecting of Kavlico FAA Aerospace products.Must be able to coordinate and oversee repairs to shipment on assigned orders across the aerospace organization.Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and JD Edwards ERP software Internet (Airline Maintenance Portals) CAMP data research.Must be able to successfully perform and document work per repair instructions drawings and process specifications and aviation regulations.Must understand read and write English per CFR TITLE 14-Aeronautics and Space- Part 145 and 21.Must meet ITAR requirements.Personal Attributes for Success:Ability to communicate; both verbally and written in a clear and concise manner. Ability to support and adapt to change. Ability to multitask.Additional Job Details: Because this position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR.
