CBA - Aircraft Mechanic III RAMS-E Ft. Drum NY
The Team Leader is one with supervisory and/or Leadership attributes from the authorized team complement. Acts as Team (Program) Supervisor for Special Projects Program and is the designated point of contact for the government.
The Team Leader is required to work at his skill classification job functions when not performing administrative duties.
Responsible for meeting project timelines briefing status reporting problems/delays scheduling travel teams providing cost analysis on projects (ROM) and monitoring budget restraints as well as personnel production on a daily basis.
Provides guidance to lower level technicians in aircraft repair technical inspection
techniques and procedures according to directives technical manuals work standards and operational policies.
Duties will include updating the Production Control Supervisor and or Site supervisor on the status of his/her project.
Team Lead will be required to meet the assigned mission requirements as directed by the Production Control Supervisor and or Site supervisor.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of US Armed Forces avionics school or other avionics trade school required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience (Electrical background preferred) working on Special Projects Program.
Understanding and knowledge of all current projects currently being supported within the Special Projects Program.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance modification and repair of tactical aircraft systems of the type being serviced and their associated components is required.
Must be able to perform tasks specified in the Aviation Field Maintenance Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
Must have the ability to read interpret and follow all wiring diagrams drawings schematics and safety requirements.
Must have a valid state driver’s license.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
May be required to work in areas that are noisy dusty and dirty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts such as heat cold and wind. This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending reaching and climbing. Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Will be required to comply with safety requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures Manual. May be required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
