The Analyst will be member of a dynamic team supporting cutting edge systems for the space industry and will support satellite space situational awareness (SSA) activities primarily as an Orbital/Operations Analyst at Schriever AFB. The Analyst will operate orbit determination and satellite characterization systems utilizing data from variety of surveillance phenomenology s (radar passive RF optical). Analytical prediction requires use of analytical tools such as Freeflyer STK and MATLAB to calculate orbit trajectories maneuvers and to establish design reference missions. This position can be hired at a Level 3 or Level 4 based on the candidates qualifications as they relate to the skills experience and responsibility requirements for the position. QualificationsRequirements:3+ years of experience in Spacecraft Systems engineering or 3+ years of Spacecraft Operations experience.Experience in requirements development and management space vehicle design and operations payloads and mission operations.Experience evaluating and implementing new and state-of-the-art technology to address challenging customer problemsStrong oral and written communication skills.B.S. degree in Systems Engineering Information Systems Engineering Science Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent experience.Active TS/SCI security clearance.Preferred Additional Skills:Work with aggressive timelines in a team environment with a willingness to learn and growExperience supporting operational satellite missions; particularly geostationary and is familiar with operations at the National Space Defense Center on Schriever AFB.Experience with satellite mission planning or analysis in all regimes particularly geostationaryLeading in specific trade and root cause analysis studies that drive system development.Experience with astrodynamics modeling tools including COTS (STK ODTK FreeFlyer) GOTS (GMAT USAF Astro Standards) open source (Orekit) or custom software (e.g. Matlab Python).Spacecraft Operations Training or Exercise management experienceActive TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph.Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
