Airport Supervisor Hiring Range: $2,462.40 - $2,947.20/Bi-Weekly, DOQ
New employees will normally be hired at the first step of the salary range, depending on qualifications.
The ideal candidate, with general supervision from the Public Works Manager, plans, organizes and manages the operation and maintenance of the City's municipal airport with expertise and skills in Capital Airport Projects and Grants, Long and Short Term Planning, Managing Airport Leases and Property, administration and oversight in federal, state and local rules and regulations governing airport use outside the area of authority of the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA). Coordinates with the Federal Aviation Administration, Arizona Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division, and other agencies on matters relating to air transportation. Meets with airport tenants and lessees to address and resolve matters of concern. Represents the City on matters relating to air transportation. Provides staff support to the Airport Advisory Board. Participates in the marketing of the airport to attract additional businesses and development to the airport and is the City's technical expert as it relates to Airport Activities.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Airport, Business, or Public Administration and three (3) years of responsible airport management experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed below.

Lake Havasu City Airport (IATA: HII, ICAO: KHII, FAA LID: HII), also known as Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport, is a city-owned public-use airport located 6 miles (5.2 nmi; 9.7 km) north of the central business district of Lake Havasu City, in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. The airport is mostly used for general aviation. Until May 5, 2007, scheduled service to Phoenix and Las Vegas was provided by Mesa Airlines, operating as US Airways Express. As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 8,174 commercial passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2005 and 6,082 enplanements in 2006. According to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2007-2011, Lake Havasu City Airport is classified as commercial service - non-primary with 2,500 and 10,000 passenger boardings per year.
