Pilot aircraft during the three categories of test flights production acceptance engineering and experimental. Plan develop and execute test flights on C-130J aircraft to verify airworthiness and performance capability validate and verify compliance with specifications and to determine operational suitability. Pilot C-130J aircraft on delivery and ferry flights. Perform as a C-130J instructor pilot for company and customer pilots and aircrew during syllabus training flights. Conduct classroom and simulator training for company and customer aircrew. May conduct airshow demonstrations as well as demonstration flights with customers government officials media or other personnel aboard to exhibit C-130J performance flying qualities and system capabilities. Provide test pilot input to flight test production engineering training customer support advanced development and marketing teams. Assist engineering and flight test with the development of ground and flight test procedures. Review validate verify and update flight manuals and source material. Participate in planning for requirements definition and Statement of Work development for C-130J testing production acceptance training and engineering design support. Participate in test plan development test plan reviews Safety Review Boards First Flight Readiness Reviews and Design Review Boards. Develop Temporary Operating Procedures and Aircraft Operating Limitations for flight test programs.Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.EngineeringAeronauticsBasic Qualifications Military Test Pilot School (TPS) graduate from a US DOD-approved school Pilot with at least 1500 hours Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time in multiengine aircraft. 100 hours PIC during engineering and/or acceptance flights in multiengine transport type aircraft. Engineering and experimental flight test experience. FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate. Current or formerly qualified military Instructor Pilot. Current FAA Second Class or First Class physical or able to obtain within 30 days of hiring. Secret Security Clearance.
