With the Airframe structure recently completed help us finish what we started and see your work take flight as an in-country Aerodynamic Performance Analysis Engineer for KF-X.

The Challenge:
Soon this airframe will become an airplane and with your help it will fly. As a Technical Advisor embedded into our customers engineering team you will be entrusted as the primary point of contact on planning for and executing flight test of the KF-X.

Your extensive knowledge of aerodynamics stability and control wind tunnel testing and mass properties will play a critical role in helping our customer achieve their aerodynamics performance vision.

Deploying from your current location this opportunity allows you to partner intimately with our team and customer as you provide critical technical advice training support and development through the appropriate application of analysis and integration to achieve an optimal design solution.

As a Technical Expert reporting to the Flight Sciences Lead under Air Vehicle Analysis
you will play a critical role in advising and partnering with KAIs engineers through concept development and subsequent appropriate application of analysis methodologies ground test and flight test with the aim of achieving a balanced design solution.
On any given day you may also:
Provide full life-cycle Aerodynamics Performance and Flight Test technical support/advice
Be a valuable resource and mentor for our KAI team and engineers as they rely on your technical expertise and cross functional knowledge to meet their goals
Collaborate frequently fostering transparency as a trusted resource cross functionally
Proactively recognize and resolving issues ensuring corrective actions are in line with current needs

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

Minimum 7 years of Aircraft Aerodynamic Performance Analysis experience
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college and/or university
Experience applying Aerodynamic Performance knowledge to planning and executing flight test
Experience mentoring and training others
Experience with Fighter Aircraft and Military/Government Programs
US Citizenship
Open to relocating to Korea with the ability to obtain a Korean VISA
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:

Familiar with planning and executing an in-flight thrust program
Experienced with uncertainty analysis selection of flight test instrumentation standardization of performance flight test data including updating aerodynamic databases based on that data
Experience applying ground/flight test data to aerodynamic predictions
Experience working in or with the Korean government or culture and/or international customers
Knowledge of Export Control Compliance
