Longview Aviation Services Inc. was established as an Approved Maintenance Organization in 2018 to create an & "Enhanced Aerial Firefighter" CL-415EAF conversion program. The eleven specially selected CL- 215 aerial firefighting aircraft will be converted to combine the proven performance of its airframe with modern upgrades to create the next generation of the world's only purpose-built aerial firefighter and multi-mission amphibious platform.

We are looking for Aircraft Mechanics of all trades (Maintenance, Structures and Avionics) to assist with the CL-215 conversion project, duties to include:

  • Complete servicing and maintenance tasks on aircraft rectifying discrepancies to ensure serviceability of aircraft and aircraft systems
  • Perform Avionics equipment testing, troubleshooting, repairs and calibrations
  • Operating various avionics test equipment such as air data test set, navigation, indication & recording, pneumatic and autopilot systems
  • Installation of solid rivets, blind rivets and other speciality fasteners on aircraft structure
  • Fabricate and form various structural sheet metal parts for installation on aircraft
  • Cut and trim sheet metal parts
  • Riveting on aircraft structural members such as frames, stringers, skins on fuselage, wings, empennage
  • Function testing of various aircraft systems
  • Removal and reinstallation of various aircraft components such as landing gear, flight controls, hydraulic systems pneumatic systems, engine and power plant and other systems
  • Performing precision measuring using calibrated measuring tools
  • Install locking devices on aircraft components as per manufacturer's maintenance manuals
  • Fabricate and repair aircraft plumbing
  • Ensure that all maintenance is carried out as per Transport Canada CARS
  • Sign job cards and task cards for work accomplished on the aircraft completely and accurately
  • Certify the maintenance release on various aircraft documents

Skills Required:

  • Formal training in aircraft maintenance and/or a minimum of 6 years’ related experience
  • Valid AME Transport Canada License preferred
