The University of Maine at Augusta invites applications for Part-Time Faculty at our Aircraft Maintenance Technician School (AMTS). The successful candidate will have experience with the subject matter in a wide range of aviation topics including fixed-wing and rotorcraft.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and working with students one-on-one. The position will ideally be based at UMAs Brunswick Aviation Campus Hangar 6 but we will also consider remote work candidates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification
  • Aircraft Maintenance Experience
  • Teaching Experience
Preferred:
  • Bachelors degree
  • FAA Aircraft Inspection Authorization Certificate
  • Higher Education experience with curriculum writing and teaching
Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and previous college teaching experience in accordance with the PATFA contract.
