SR MANAGER, SAFETY PROGRAMS
National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger charter service as well as customized military and commercial air cargo carriage worldwide. National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing?757-200,?747-400?and A-330?aircraft to accomplish its missions.
To conduct audits, manage audit programs, data analysis/trend review, report/policy writing and root cause analysis. Abilities to interpret technical journals, regulations, advisory circulars, and National’s operational manuals. To collaborate and identify areas of improvement with and assist in identifying the root cause. Prioritize competing objectives and to build consensus and diplomatically share sensitive information. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate, coordinate and develop mitigations and corrective actions to address non-standard issues and risks.

Responsible for all aspects of the airlines SMS Safety Assurance aspects to include ASAP, FOQA, IEP, LOSA
Manage a team of safety analysts and auditors and assist in their professional development
Communicate and coordinate with all departments regarding safety and compliance
Assist in the development of the airline’s Safety Management System training program
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all SMS training records
Compile, analyze and trend all inputs into the airline’s Safety Management System for review at the Safety Review Board.
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the ASAP MOU and the FOQA I&O Plan and MOU
Facilitate all ASAP and FOQA required meetings
Develop and maintain the airlines IEP program in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Facilitate and conduct root cause analysis for all Safety Assurance program findings, as required.
Monitor the status of corrective actions, recommendations of each safety assurance program.
Assist with the management of the Line Observation Safety Audit (LOSA) program data, findings, and corrective actions.
Assist in the development of training for LOSA observers
Ensure data from all Safety Assurance programs are disseminated to all National Airlines stakeholders.
Develop and manage the airlines safety promotion projects – newsletters, scorecards, bulletins
Responsible for maintaining training records for all Safety program required training.
Oversee and manage access to all Safety department databases – WBAT, Aerobytyes, etc.
Attend industry training events, conferences, etc. to ensure National Airlines is on the cutting edge of all Safety related information.
Provide support to all National Airlines operational departments for Safety Assurance functions.
Assist in the development/revision of the National Airlines Emergency Response plan.
Assist in the facilitation of all Emergency Response Drills, and activities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for the Director of Safety
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Safety.
Serve as the designee for the 119 Director of Safety in his/her absence.
Responsible for the implementation and management of business intelligence software systems
Combination of education and experience demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
Bachelor’s degree in aviation/Safety or related field
Three (3) years of airlines IEP, Safety Risk Assessment, and Safety reporting experience.
Five (5) years of airline operations audit experience;
Knowledge of Safety program database (WBAT, Aerobytyes, etc.)
Lead Auditor Training.
