The selectee for this position will serve as a FOREIGN MILITARY ASSISTANCE SPECIALIST in the Program Management Department of NET SEC ASTFLD ACT.

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Develops education and training programs for foreign countries providing technical advice to the resident in the host countries in developing pipelines developing schedules and confirming quotas to meet overall country and student education and training needs.
Provides input managers in the Navy International Programs Office (Navy IPO) and Systems Commands for the development of programs to meet country needs for training to support the sale and transfer of equipment.
Provides input to the development of Price and Availability (P&A;) studies in conjunction with the transfer or sale of training and training systems to support ships and weapons systems.
Provides advice and guidance on the adrninistr.ative management of the foreign students at the training activity level.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Requires sitting for long periods with some walking bending and lifting and extensive travel in the United States and overseas.
Considerable amount of tine is spent on telephone and computer terminal.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advise personnel on international military training; 2) Maintain education and training programs for foreign countries in an information system; 3) Coordinate with respresentatives to obtain funding to implement training porgrams; and 4) Schedule training for foreign students in accordance to availability.
