Director/Manager of Aerospace/Flight Market Category
Focus: Aerospace/Flight will focus on technologies equipment supplies training and other incidental services to ensure total lifecycle support for the aviation industry. This will include but is not limited to Electronics Flight Deck Safety Components/Engines Paints Sealants Adhesives Avionics Simulation Flight Deck Protective Systems UAV and Counter-Drone technologies.
Job Functions: While leading business engagement and driving the cross functional coordination between SOE the Aerospace/Flight team members and market partners you will represent Noble with Command/Program offices and respective contracting offices across all DoD services and Federal Agencies identified and assigned. While on the road you will develop relationships with customers and vendors creatively addressing their problems researching and identifying innovative technologies building custom solutions and being the true Aerospace/Flight resource throughout the acquisition process. You will become Nobles primary contact for all Aerospace/Flight related business and will be challenged to continually grow the Aerospace/Flight sales pipeline
As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible to:
Drive and establish the Aerospace/Flight Market Strategy to include Target Customers Products/Categories Programs and Sales Roadmap
Serve as the lead for all large-scale solicitations for Aerospace/Flight accounts
Engage and establish long-term sales and service solutions
Analyze market trends gather intelligence new requirements and program inceptions
Create new solutions in response to market changes
Help structure and grow Aerospace/Flight program development
Manage a strong sales pipeline
Generate reports quotes identifying optimal funding vehicles
Engage in deal strategy and negotiations
Actively log all sales activity
Work with our support teams to ensure accurate order information
Performance Standards: The Aerospace/Flight Team and your success as a Business Development Manager will be measured by customer and supplier satisfaction hitting assigned territory goals team engagement and overall sales growth. This will include:
Submitting and Implementing a Strategic Plan: Target Product Market and Specific Customers
Incorporation of new technologies and vendors to Noble Aerospace/Flight Portfolio
Growth of Sales Pipeline
Meeting/Exceeding Individual Sales Goal
Meeting/Exceeding Aerospace/Flight Market Sales Goal
Support provided to regional sales team to drive procurements
Requirements
5+ years of business development experience with a track record of capture and program management within the Aerospace and Flight Market
5+ years of experience with US Government contracting and acquisition prior military experience a plus.
3+ years of experience using Salesforce Netsuite/Oracle Tableau Slack and other Business Software
Broad an exceptional understanding of SOE customers operations and requirements coupled with a of key industry supplier relationships
Extensive defense business development experience with a track record of capture and program management within the SOE market
Strong understanding of Noble Contract Vehicles
Excellent listening communication interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to easily communicate complex ideas issues and designs to a diverse audience
Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
Bachelors Degree preferred; equivalent experience at Noble or military may be acceptable upon hiring managers discretion
Prior experience in Business Development or a sales role is preferred
Work Environment:
Independent and Remote
Extensive travel required (50-75% or 2-3 weeks of every month)
Occasional weekends holidays and after business hours
