Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Subcontracts Administrator. The person hired into this role will join the Propulsion Category subcontracts team. This positon can be located in Gilbert AZ Dulles VA Houston TX or San Diego CA. Roles and Responsibilities:
Assists with the development of subcontract specifications work statements and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials equipment and/or services related to radio frequency and command and data handling subcontracts
Prepares bid packages conducts bidders conferences analyzes and evaluates proposals negotiates subcontract provisions selects and recommends subcontractors writes awards and administers resulting subcontracts
Negotiates additions deletions and modifications to subcontracts
Works with a team to conduct contracts administration and purchasing
Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
Identifies opportunities to reduce cost improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
Issues purchase orders
Manages performance of purchase orders ensures compliance with FAR/DFAR regulations as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
Bachelor s degree and at least 6 years of supply chain contract administration and/or subcontracts experience; or a master s degree and at least 4 years supply chain contracts and/or supplier performance experience. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree
Knowledge of government contracting requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR DFARS ITAR etc.)
Comfortable leading negotiations and preparing price analyses of supplier proposals
