Northrop Grumman Mission Systems located in Linthicum MD has an immediate need for a Flight Test Engineer/Test Pilot Manager 3 of Flight Test Operations. This organization provides flight test capabilities for the development assessment and demonstration of NGC products and systems. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the test aircraft fleet including test pilots and flight test engineers. This position is also responsible for operational risk assessment / management of airborne laboratory modifications. The Flight Test Engineer/Test Pilot Manager 3 oversees demonstration flights with customers government officials or other personnel to demonstrate system performance and capabilities. Develops flight test plans to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and minimum of 10 years operational and/or developmental flight test engineer experience Experience with program execution to include system integration and test and airborne demonstrations Experience in civilian / FAA airworthiness certifications and requirements Current active Secret Security clearance or higher Preferred Qualifications: Certified Flight Test Engineer graduate through a military test pilot school (USNTPS USAFTPS ETPS EPNER) Masters degree in engineering or related discipline. Previous experience in aircraft modifications configuration and control and technical / operational review boards.
