This position will be located in St. Augustine FL.The manager will be responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff assignment of work schedules day-to-day workflow and operating costs).Essential Functions:+ Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning monitoring and appraising job results; coaching counseling and disciplining employees; initiating coordinating and enforcing systems policies and procedures.+ Maintains staff by recruiting selecting orienting and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.+ Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.+ Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.+ Maintains quality standards by establishing and enforcing organization quality objectives.+ Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.+ Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.+ Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.+ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations significantly diverse assignments collaborative/team settings across all levels.To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions please view our "Selecting the Best Qualified Managers" video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideoQualifications:Basic Qualifications:+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or operations/assembly+ Must have a strong production background with a minimum of seven (7) years of final assembly experience with E-2D program or similar aircraft program+ Must-have strong leadership skills computer skills and organizational skills+ Must be a strong communicator and be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint)+ Must possess strong team building skills and the ability to communicate clearly with the shop floor and support functions+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher and acquire/maintain Special Program AccessPreferred Qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree in Business Management +5 years of proven experience in manufacturing environment+ Experience in the final assembly Electrical Hydraulic and Structure statement of work related to the E-2 Hawkeye+ Active DOD Secret Clearance+ Strong Leadership experience and computer skills+ Excellent Organizational and Communication skillsNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
