Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Electrical Board Design Engineer to join our team of qualified diverse individuals.The individual in this role will serve as the Guidance Computer Flight Unit Analog Board Design Lead. The GC is a high reliability radiation hardened flight controller for the GBSD Aerospace Vehicle (AVE). The GBSD Guidance Computer contains digital processing digital I/O and analog actuator/power I/O electronics functions. The scope of this role includes collaboration with systems engineers mechanical engineers manufacturing engineers and other electrical engineers to perform design trades and requirements flowdown to create interconnection drawings to perform electrical analysis to develop test plans and ultimately to deliver working hardware that meets program requirements.The qualified candidate will be an analog design engineer who will work on an actuator drive board design and development with application in an embedded control processing function. This position reports directly to the Guidance Computer Responsible Design Engineer (RDE). As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical Dental and Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs and Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health and Wellness Resources Employee Discounts Qualifications Basic qualifications: Experience developing board level power and actuator/motor drive electronics architectures from top level unit requirements for Radiation Hardened Missile and Space applications Experience conducting circuit design analysis and simulations including proficiency with PSpice and Mathcad Experience performing testing validation and manufacturing test support on deliverable hardware Knowledge of control systems and feedback theory Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a STEM discipline with minimum 14 years experience or MS with 12 years of experience or 9 years with a Phd Active Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience with planar magnetics hi-density mechanical packaging and thermal control techniques for aerospace environments Mixed signal unit slice board and/or ASIC/FPGA design and development experience Experience with programmatic and cost account management (CAM) processes project planning and scheduling cost control change control earned value management system (EVMS) staffing and coordination and oversight of technical work effortSalary Range: $200K -- $250K Minimum QualificationElectrical Engineering.
