Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an AVE MS&A Flight Analysis Engineering Manager 1 to join our team. This leadership role will be located in Roy Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force s sustainment development production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. AVE MS&A Flight Analysis Engineering Manager is responsible for daily operation of the Flight Analysis team (supervision work assignments schedules etc.) including:
Perform AVE performance and flight assessment
Overseeing and executing trajectory simulation tools both in 3 and 6 Degrees of Freedom and analyzing the results of those simulations
The Flight Analysis Manager responsibilities also includes supervising the development and modification of existing trajectory simulation tools
Communication status and results of the Flight Analysis team with internal and external customers
Interface between IPT and segment leads
Due to the complex nature of the systems analyzed the position requires working closely with multiple engineering disciplines including but not limited to Computational Fluid Mechanics System Engineering Structural and Thermal Analysis team and Mechanical Design to achieve program objectives in a timely manner
This position s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in STEM with 2 years of related missile trajectory analysis or Aerospace Engineering experience
Active Secret security clearance (or higher).
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience managing or leading a flight analysis team
7 years of related Aerospace Orbital Mechanics and Flight Analysis experience
Experience developing missile or launch vehicle simulation files.
