The Director Engineering Americas reports to the Vice President Technology of Pall Aerospace and is responsible for directing engineering activities in support of the Aerospace market segment which serves customers in the Military and Commercial industries. These activities include providing engineering product support NPI/NPD support configuration management detailed design and product integrity and regulatory compliance. The Director Engineering Americas is a key technical partner with business and manufacturing leaders enabling operations and NPI/NPD accountable for engineering quality on time delivery and talent management.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain a strong team of engineers and designers dedicated to engineering excellence and innovation in product development and sustainment. Responsible for ensuring talent development skills matrices succession plans are in place and creates a strong culture of innovation learning and agile engineering. Responsible for ensuring a robust associate rotation development program. Champion diversity and inclusion within the organization. (40%)
Establish and drive KPIs to manage key performance ensuring standardized global approach (with EMEA) to best practices lessons learned and continuous improvement. Ensure robust processes are in place using DBS tools. (30%)
Deliver product integrity and maintain through-life performance to the required definition. Ensure the satisfactory accomplishment of the design work carried out by or on behalf of companys design organization. (20%)
Develop the necessary resources for the proper functioning of the department and ensure that all responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the appropriate regulations. (10%)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering required. Masters degree in Science or Engineering or MBA desired.
Over 10+ years product development/engineering experience in aerospace
Knowledge of the Global Aerospace Marketplace with experience ideally in filtration and separation processes or related discipline such as aircraft systems for fuel hydraulics air and/or lube.
Experience in development of products/technologies under quality control regulatory guidelines and various industrial standards.
Over 7+ years experience in managing and developing teams
Proven hands-on and leadership track record in Aerospace engineering
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills required to execute product developments across the Americas team with effective verbal and written communication.
Collaborative team member working cohesively with the EMEA Engineering Director
Strong relationships with senior business leadership marketing manufacturing legal quality and technical groups
Able to travel globally to support business needs
Able to balance the needs of the OpCo with the needs of the associates
Develop relationships with strategic customers and regulatory agencies
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities technical data technology software and services. U.S. citizenship U.S. legal permanent resident status protected person status or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization including if required an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
