Parker has increased its annual dividends paid to shareholders for 63 consecutive fiscal years among the top five longest-running dividend-increase records in the S&P 500 index.The Manager Advanced Product Engineering will be an integral part of the success of the Parker Filtration Innovation Center (PFIC) team and will play a key role in the growth of the Parker Filtration Group (PFG). This position directs manages and coordinates all activities associated with advanced filtration product engineering including concept generation detailed design prototyping product validation testing and analytical services for industrial testing to support PFG operating Divisions. The Manager Advanced Product Engineering is directly accountable for developing new to company and new to world products and processes in collaboration with the Division technology teams and the other team members at PFIC.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (Reports to and direct reports) Reports to: Director Innovation Direct/indirect reports: Advanced Product Engineering StaffPRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Create innovative filtration solutions using existing and targeted media conversion methodologies and processes supporting the innovation project plan priorities Prospect new technologies while leveraging internal core competencies and technologies to create new products and processes to accelerate the introduction rate of new products throughout the company Lead experts in the team who are knowledgeable in physics based Computer Simulation and Modelling techniques such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) In collaboration with others design and build proprietary and Trade Secret production and testing equipment to produce innovative materials and products Ensure technology options and quality meet the needs of the receiving Division Develop innovative product technologies and lead Intellectual Property efforts to preserve Support lab scale and pilot production requirements Manage scale up of pilot production through commercialization including run off training documentation and commissioning at PFG Divisions Manage Analytical Services for larger industrial test stands in support of product development quality compliance and forensic competitive product analysis Participate in industry technology organizations (examples include but not limited to: ASHRAE AFS INDA IEST MIA EMA AERA API AGA USOGA NWI etc.) ensuring company is abreast of latest filtration technologies and testing standards Be an active member and provide leadership in the site Safety Committee. It is expected that as a member of the site leadership this role must promote a strong safety culture and will lead one of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program elements.KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS REQUIRED: Proven ability to lead people and projects in a direct or matrix environment Superb verbal and written communication skills Ability to delegate and motivate team members Uses metric based performance management to achieve significant measurable results Strong interpersonal organization and coordination skills with the ability to communicate and coordinate employees and managers at all levels in the Company Strong problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment Excellent management skills keen business acumen and reliable cost consciousness Ability to influence negotiate and gain commitment at all organization levels Possesses high professional ethics good judgment and ability to take decisive action Must be customer-oriented and be a profit/growth-oriented individual EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor s degree in Engineering required. Master s degree in Engineering and/or PE preferred. 15+ year experience in product development engineering project management with a global multi-discipline company.
