The company supports the worlds aircraft manufacturers providing a century of experience and innovation for commercial and military aircraft.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary: Accountable for a Parker Operating Division to achieve results identified by the Corporations WIN Strategy within a global economy. Leads an organization of leaders and empowered employees to continuously meet customer expectations. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Provides leadership for Division employees and for cross-Division systems development marketing and product integration. Interacts with current and prospective customers trade associations regulatory or government agencies all levels of the organization including Corporate officers Group and Corporate staff functions. Collaborates/coordinates with product platform (if applicable) and sister division leadership to promote the development of global product designs and innovation. Supports and promotes localization of new product new product development sales/marketing and production as required to penetrate immerging and high growth geographic markets. Essential Functions: -To profitably grow the business and achieve Corporate goals. Pursues new business and partnering alliances; works with current and potential customers to promote and leverage Company technologies systems products and services. -Establishes and maintains premier customer service. Implements or supports e-business customer access to product and order information. -Leads strategy deployment for the Division concentrating on Lean Initiatives Strategic Pricing and Strategic Procurement. Leads Operating Manufacturing Engineering Information Technology Human Resources Lean Accounting Planning Sales/Marketing and New Product Development functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy. -Plans develops and implements Division WIN Strategy policies which are consistent with Group and Corporate goals. Measures the effectiveness and efficiency of Division continuous improvement using the Parker WIN Score Card approach. -Develops and recommends short and long range objectives consistent with Division Group and Corporate guidelines through the Parker Strategy Deployment. Recommends capital investments and improvement projects. Responsible for recommending operational plans to effectively utilize changing technologies facilities employees and domestic / international suppliers. Seeks and evaluates potential acquisitions divestitures joint ventures alliances and expansion vs. outsourcing for the Group. -Prepares the Annual Business Operating Plan and Budget to manage the Divisions activities to obtain results. -Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the Division to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented. Successfully leads change management activities. -Ensures the Division has an effective Strategic Procurement process (Supply Chain Management) procurement inventory production control scheduling shipping/receiving logistics. -Responsible for the investment in and development of new products and systems to provide innovation establish competitive product market positions and increase market share. -Reviews sales forecast and Strategic Market Pricing of the Division and participates in formulation of product development and manufacturing objectives policies and programs to meet estimates. -Ensures that operations conform to local state and federal government regulations. Promotes Division within industry manufacturing trade associations and local community. Strives for a union free work place with Human Resources and Operations management. -Provides leadership by promoting team concepts diversity and equal employment opportunity coaching counseling mentoring training talent / succession management and individual development. Qualifications:-Thorough knowledge of management and marketing principles industry practices Company and competitor products technology and service capabilities. -Knowledge of business and operational processes; proposal development contract negotiations and program management. May require knowledge of international budgeting and acquisition processes and procedures. -Able to perform each essential function with a high level of expertise. -Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others typically acquired through 10 or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership and/or program management role. -Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management customers and employees. -A Bachelors Degree in a related technical or business discipline is required; an advance degree is preferred.
