This role will assist the Quality Manager in establishing implementing and maintaining the quality management system/procedures.Responsibilities:+ Interface with engineering and operations teams to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data (New product validation).+ Assist the Quality Manager in establishing implementing and maintaining the quality management system.+ Analyze quality performance utilizing using statistical and analytical tools and methods data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.+ Review product quality aspects like planning manufacturing methods and process specifications.+ Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks.+ Participate in the AS9102 First Article Inspection planning process; assist Engineering staff determine product characteristics.+ Obtain proficiency in computer-based ERP/MRP enterprise system.+ Formulate or help formulate QA policies and procedures and conduct training on QA concepts and tools.+ Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for internal and customer non-conformance.+ Assist disposition process by conducting failure analysis and suggest corrective actions as Material Review Board member.+ Assist with manufacturing scrap performance evaluation and management.+ Support cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on overall process improvements scrap reduction and supplier quality improvement.+ Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the customer and the quality management system.+ Perform Quality Audits to determine the effectiveness of the Quality Program and prepare audit reports+ Create and maintain quality procedures work instructions manufacturing aides etc.+ Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure corrective actions and preventive actions.+ Develop Quality Control Plans (QCP) and check sheets on new products and maintain/improve existing QCPs.+ Manage suppliers performance and conduct supplier audits.+ Update/Develop internal inspection techniques/methods as needed to meet customer requirements and/or continuous improvement.+ Review contracts/sales orders and implement processes and procedures to meet customer requirements.+ Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to determine process effectiveness identify areas for improvement best practices and drive continuous quality improvement.+ Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance throughput and the quality system such as 5S Kaizen lean methods etc.+ Performs other duties as required.Position Requirements:+ Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.+ Four (4) to Seven (7) years of aerospace industry experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 business management system.+ Proficient in PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications; Outlook Excel Word Schedule Visio).+ Skilled in the use of all types of measuring equipment such as scales calipers micrometers hand tools.+ Experience with Military/Aerospace material handling and Quality best practices.+ Requires strong attention to detail organizational time management and follow-up skills.+ Process Mapping and Value Stream Mapping skillsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
