Re:Build New Kensington (RBNK) is a key part of our mission to rebuild US manufacturing. Located in a community adversely impacted by deindustrialization but with a deep pool of manufacturing talent RBNK was established to manufacture high-volume and complex products for RBM customers in many industries.
The Need
RBM is engineering and manufacturing products for our customers including in the Aerospace and Defense industries and is being asked by them to scale up the production of components and electromechanical systems and sub-systems. This will be done at RBNK and we need someone to lead a dedicated and successful Aerospace manufacturing group.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a proven operations leader to help stand up and lead a new aerospace manufacturing operation within our RBNK facility to include component production and electromechanical assembly. This is a highly visible role accountable for building the team processes and capabilities required to launch and scale production for complex product lines.
You will have full operational responsibility for this business area including leadership of production planning and day-to-day execution while collaborating closely with existing site functional leaders in Engineering Quality and Supply Chain. Success will require a hands-on leadership style deep manufacturing expertise and the ability to deliver on aggressive performance targets for safety quality delivery and cost.

Help to stand up a new manufacturing organization including setting up the production processes and equipment hiring onboarding and developing a high-performing operations team and onboarding new manufacturing programs that we anticipate scaling rapidly.
Partner with other support departments such Sales Program Management Engineering Technical Development Quality Finance and Human Resources to ensure readiness for program launch and ramp-up.
Develop and implement operational strategies priorities and activities to ensure delivery on customer commitments and attainment of Aerospace production business objectives.
Establish production systems workflows and performance metrics to ensure safety quality delivery and cost (SQDC) objectives are met.
Provide leadership and management of Re:Builders to ensure effective selection development retention and performance management of team members.
Lead day-to-day production operations and coordinate priorities with supporting site functions. Own ongoing performance KPIs and metrics and use them to drive improvement in production performance and volume/workflow planning. This will include Lean thinking and the use of Lean tools and methods for continuous improvement.
Develop and implement effective communication and engagement strategies to ensure teams are informed aligned and motivated to accomplish objectives.
Assist with budget preparation for the business unit and monitor operational and financial metrics take corrective actions and report performance to senior leadership. Participate in capacity planning activities to support business growth and sustainment.
Foster a culture of accountability teamwork and operational excellence aligned with the Principles of The Re:Build Way.
What you will bring to the Team
Bachelors degree in Business Management Business Administration Technical discipline (e.g. Engineering) or related field.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles preferably with electromechanical assembly or consumer electronics experience.
Extensive knowledge of operations and production management including experience leading a complex high-rate production facility and using Lean principles and practices and ERP and other information systems.
Ability to interpret operating metrics and financial data to diagnose performance and manage production goals.
Excellent leadership managerial supervisory and planning/execution skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to build and sustain high levels of team engagement and motivation.
Ability to mentor coach and develop team members.
Strong customer service orientation interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
Critical thinking sound judgment and the ability to appropriately manage confidential sensitive information.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
